Someone commented the other day how I have taken a 180 degree reversal on structure but there is more to it than that. I have changed how I do things:

  1. I have a writing partner. This is the most important one. I have someone to talk to, to bounce ideas off, to push me along, and to support me in ways I suspect I still don’t realize.
  2. We write 3 hours a week. Once we pushed it to 6 hours and it was too much. I am relaxed, I hang out with my family. I pursue other artistic interest.
  3. Save the Cat has helped clarify some thoughts that I had been sticking on.

I read this story of the Monks from How Not to Write and felt it was a suitable story for where I am.
