I like how we is waiting for the natural ordering of an intended structure to take place. It is about it happening even when we are not trying.
Shape and Colour talk about another version of this natural organization:
One of these experiences creates a Desire Path -“a term in landscape architecture used to describe a path that isn’t designed but rather is worn casually away by people finding the shortest distance between two points”.
Similarly, story I believe occurs naturally. Structure is simply a tool, a model we use to strengthen the shape of that story.
We should never use structure to force story into a pre-fixed shape. Structure should be allowed to shape itself to that which naturally occurs with story.
