What if you didn’t have a well to pull ideas from? Where would they come from?

Would you continue to write, forcing ideas to come no matter what? Or would you accept that writing comes in cycles, that there is a time to work and a time to rest?

Ask yourself:

  • Is it about doing the work, or is it about the result, or is it neither of these?
  • Do you know the result of forcing yourself through?

You can force yourself to write, when there is nothing, or you can allow yourself the time to recharge. It is sometimes the choice not to write that allows you to become the better writer in the end.
