Jack Cheng writes about “when you really ‘do the dishes’ without hurrying through them, you learn things.”
It reminds me of a piece of advice that I have held onto and that I always wanted to make into a sign above the sink: “Do the dishes to do the dishes.”
Don’t do the work to get it done, do it and enjoy the process.
